England Trip 1 - Uni Visits

Louissa arranged to visit a few Universities right at the start of our time in England. So along with her dad, she sampled some of the South of England's finest further education establishments ...

1st Visit: Sussex
Means of Transport: Brighton Buses

Middle of the University of Sussex Campus

Not too far to travel for the first university, and a nice sunny day in Brighton. Louissa was keen to see the library, which has recently been expanded, and as you can see has:
  • lots of books
  • lots of iMacs
A good start to our South-of-England Uni tour, and we were back in Hove in time for tea

Lots of books ...

Lots of iMacs ...
2nd Visit: Southampton
Means of Transport: a lift by car!!

We really liked the library - it has 5 floors

Next was Southampton. We really liked it. Great library, accommodation, faculty, ... we liked everything.

They have a Brazil Club - we liked that too

We also couldn't help liking the nosh in the cafe

3rd Visit: Portsmouth
Means of transport: train

Portsmouth Uni is in the city centre

Portsmouth was our final visit. Very handy from the train station, and Gunwharf Quays is in walking distance.

They had a Sherlock Holmes Exhibition
There was a gathering of printers in the library
And the winner is ... well that'd be telling..!

Memories from our trip ...

It seems so far away and so long ago - but we've only been back in Brazil for three weeks. We had such a great time back in England - so coming up in the next few blog posts are some of our memories ...
